Leo and I have been so goddamn busy lately. Where did our lives go? We were just two stupid kids, and then everything turned into a nightmare.
But I guess that's not true, is it? Leo was hunted by the Manufactured Newborn long before I met him. The only thing that kept him safe was the presence of the shadiest Men in Black ripoffs around. I guess this world's just rotten all the way through. Time to throw it out, right?
...Well, that's not really right either.
Honestly, I'm just trying to figure out how to combine "things suck so much right now" and "things used to suck so much" in a way that results in any sort of positive worldview.
How about: "Things will eventually suck much less."
